Old Major Smoked Chorizo

Bold. Smoky. Deeply Satisfying.

Old Major Market’s Smoked Chorizo is the kind of sausage that doesn’t just add flavor — it takes over the whole dish in the best possible way. Made from premium pork and seasoned with smoked paprika, annatto, and a crafted blend of spices, each link delivers a rich, savory punch with a warm, vibrant heat.

Naturally cased and slow-smoked, this chorizo brings real smokehouse character to everything it touches. Grill it. Sear it. Slice it into beans, soups, skillets, tacos — it performs in every setting and turns simple meals into standouts.

FAQ

How should I cook it?
Grill or pan-sear over medium heat until browned and heated through to 160°F, about 10–12 minutes, turning. Or slice into coins and crisp them in a skillet before they go into beans, soup, or a taco filling.

Smoked or Mexican chorizo?
Smoked: whole links in casing, meant to be grilled or sliced. Our Mexican Chorizo is fresh and ground, meant to be crumbled. Different jobs.

How hot is it?
Warm, not fiery. Smoked paprika leads; the heat sits behind it.

How should I store it?
It arrives frozen. Keep frozen for up to three months, or thaw overnight in the refrigerator and use within 3–5 days.

Very good breakfast links

Beer Bratwurst

I'm a Minnesota boy who is destined to live my life in Southern Maryland. I grew up on great bratwurst. Johnsonville is not an acceptable brand for me. I tried these beer brats and I immediately reordered more. These brats are the best I've had outside of the ones I make myself. Too much of a hassle to make my own anymore. These are a great substitution for mine and I will be a returning customer.

Beer Bratwurst

Been constantly searching for a "GOOD" Brat. All the normal brands are just ok. Brats and sausage made locally or from small makers so far have been meh. These are closest to those from my youth. Very good flavor and texture. Will buy again.
